This is a timed 5K on November 12, and can be a fun follow up for those who run the night before in the Dollywood Light the Way 5K. You don’t have to run in that race to participate in the Jingle Jog & Glow Run. The Jingle Jog Race time is 1 p.m. and the race begins at Patriot Park in Pigeon Forge.
Jingle Bells will be provided for all runners/walkers, but we welcome you to wear even more! a paved course that is wheel chair and stroller friendly. Winners will be announced after the race and prizes will be awarded. Trail is lighted, and we encourage your family and friends to come cheer you on with their own sleigh bells or jingle bells. Race ambassadors will also be all along the race course to cheer you on.
Race day packet pickup and registration start at 11:00am. At Patriot Park.
Race course: Leaving Patriot Park will run across Old Mill Avenue onto Butler Street, continuing across Ashley Avenue and onto Riverwalk Greenway. Follow Greenway under Jake Thomas Lighted Bridge and past LeConte Convention Center to marked TURN AROUND (still on the Greenway) and back the same route. Run through the lighted tunnel at Patriot Park to get your time and receive your GLOWING accolades. There will be course Ambassadors all along the route cheering you on.
Cash prize: $75 to fastest overall, and $50 to the runner up. Other prizes will be announced closer to race date.
Medals will be awarded for top male, female in each age group. Age awards will be 13 and under, 14-19 and then five year increments up to age 70 (the last age is 70 and up).
Early bird fee is $25 per person until October 15. After that, the fee goes to $30 per person.
Teams of 4-12 people may sign up at a discounted rate of $20 per person.
